Chapter 1, Act 5: Rewinding Raindrops

The Wuthering Waves Rewinding Raindrops quest takes us far south of Jinzhou, where we’ll meet a mysterious broker named Aalto. Rewinding Raindrops is the seventh main quest in Wuthering Waves, following the Clashing Blades quest. To start Rewinding Raindrops, you need a Union Level of at least 21.

Rewinding Raindrops Walkthrough

The Rewinding Raindrops quest begins in the southern part of Jinzhou, in front of the City Hall you’ve visited during previous Wuthering Waves main quests. Teleport to the Resonance Nexus in the city, then walk up the large staircase, take the elevator up, and speak with Yangyang and Chixia.

Listen to Linsu, the girl standing next to the Storyteller’s booth, then talk to her afterwards.

Walk towards the east to find the large waterfall. Walk up the slope on the right and go through the waterfall to uncover a hidden path.

A bunch of flowers will appear along the path to the right; follow them until the next cutscene begins.

Next, speak with Yangyang, who’s waiting nearby. To locate the source of the sound, follow the path downwards until you see the two Fractsidus Members. Defeat them.

Continue following the road. Once you’ve passed the waterfall, a three-minute timer will start; you must climb to the top of the mountain before it ends.

First, use the two blue bouncy mushrooms to jump up the cliffs.

Next, enable your grappling ability and use the grappling points on your right (the little stars) to fly upwards.

Run across the grassy bridge and use a bouncy mushroom again (three in total). One more grappling point will take you to the finish line.

After the cutscene, teleport back to Jinzhou and speak with Yangyang.

After a lengthy dialogue scene, interact with Aalto’s Echo.

Go downstairs to find the second Echo.

Turn around to your left, go down another set of stairs, and interact with the third Echo.

Turn right to catch Aalto.

After speaking with Aalto, open your map and teleport to the Whining Aix’s Mire, far south of Jinzhou. No need to walk if you haven’t been to that area yet; a Resonance Beacon shall be activated automatically.

Speak with Aalto, who’s waiting next to the Resonance Beacon, then glide to the Court of Savantae Facility a bit further east.

After landing, be prepared to fight three Tacet Discords.

Approach the nearby Resonance Beacon. After a short dialogue scene, you must solve the Spinning Wheel puzzle. Press the buttons in the lower right corner in the following order:

Switch x1
Rotate x3
Switch x1
Rotate x1

Inside the facility, head upstairs and find a way to turn on the electricity. To solve this puzzle, you need to place the loose panels on the doors and open them.

First, use the levitator ability on the panel next to Encore. While the panel is floating in the air, move it towards the device on the left side of the door and place it there. Once the door is open, go inside the room and speak with the shades to investigate clues.

Next, pick up the second panel (also next to Encore) and place it on the doorway to her left. There’s another panel in front of this doorway, which should also be placed on this door. The red seal will disappear.

Take the first panel from the door behind Encore, take it inside the new room, and place it on the red dot. This will allow you to grab the treasure chest in this room.

Pick up the same panel again, and place it in the battery mechanism (same room).

Now, take the panel out of the mechanism and take it outside, walk towards the locked door on your left (the only door you haven’t been through yet) and place it on the right side (red device).

Take one of the panels from the previous door (one of the green devices) and place it on the left side. When entering the final room, be prepared to fight four Tacet Discords.

You must solve another Spinning Wheel puzzle here. This is the solution:

Walk downstairs and interact with the round device to activate the elevator.

This takes you to the basement, where you must fight the Mech Abomination boss. Encore will be available as a trial character.

Try to deplete the Boss’s Vibration Strength as quickly as possible. Once in a while, a large bomb will spawn on the battlefield; you can use the levitator ability to pick it up and throw it at the Mech Abomination. Whenever that happens, you’ll see the utility prompt on the screen.

Once you’ve defeated this Boss, meet Aalto at the facility’s entrance to complete the Wuthering Waves Rewinding Raindrops quest. The next main quest, Grand Warstorm, starts automatically.
