amazing
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth impressively builds off of what Remake set in motion, both as a best-in-class action-RPG full of exciting challenges and an awe-inspiring recreation of a world that has meant so much to so many for so long.

This was a great addition to Final Fantasy series. You do not have to play any past games to get into this game. This game has a pretty good recap of the first game. However we both strongly suggest you play the first game, Final Fantasy 7: Remake before playing this. My wife and i enjoyed the story and are looking foreword to the third game of this series. Side content felt a little repetitive but some funny moments. There are tons of mini games that helps make the game feel like your not doing the same thing over and over agin. The piano was the hardest mini game and the best mini game in FF7:Rebirth was Queens Blood. Queens Blood could have been its own game entirely and we loved every second of it. We spent 116 hours on this game and did not feel like we spent that long on this game. If i could have ranked it a 9.5 i would have. What stopped me from ranking this game a 10 because because its not a complete story. While we knew going into Rebirth that the game was the second of a trilogy, the game ends making you feel like there is more to do. So far, this is one of our "Game of the Year" contenders. We highly recommend this game. 9/10
Side note: I do not why it says i reviewed this 6 months ago, i bought this game at launch.
The second chapter of one of the most anticipated remake projects in gaming history certainly does not disappoint. It's clear that Square took this opportunity to maximize character moments and party synergy while managing to extend what was originally maybe 10 hours into a 100+ hour epic and that is nothing short of impressive.
Despite a slew of mediocre minigames and some discombobulated progression beats, FF fans itching for a long and RPG-heavy experience should not be left wanting with Rebirth.
+The character/party interactions are top-notch. You will certainly grow closer to the team just as they grow closer to one another
+Regional exploration will give you plenty to do. In my opinion, this experience in the second half of the game serves as the peak of what this game can do
+As always, the music is stupendous. Hearing classic VII tunes rearranged will instill in you a child-like excitement
+Massive fan of the Synergy mechanic, great way to get party members to feel connected while adding towards to the game's affection mechanic
-Too many mediocre minigames, shout out to Queen's Blood and Chocobo Racing for being the exceptions.
-Sometimes the game suffers with setting a consistent tone in favor of pushing certain story beats. This can hurt storytelling effectiveness and is especially evident towards the ending
-The combat can still agree fairly awkwardly with the action aspects of the game. This is most egregious in some of the combat challenges which can lead to rather irritating experiences
The 2nd installment of FFVII remake triology, in fact, is a different genre from the previous one. From linear action RPG to Semi-openworld road trip action RPG. Main story is main anchor for the story, but sidequest(oddjobs) are also actractive and rewarding. BGM is the masterpiece work from Mr.Nobuo Uematsu
10/10 for FFVII fans
9/10 for JRPG lover

An epic reimagining of one of my all time favourites. The art, music story, characters is masterful. Just a joy. 90 hours to complete with <20% min game complete
