Gotham Knights Review
mediocre
Gotham Knights is a co-op-centric caped adventure that made my interest Wayne thanks to poor combat, a transparently predictable mystery, and grueling progression.

Trying to be like PlayStation Spider-Man except mediocre
It’s a far cry from what WB Montreal has done in the past (which was just Arkham origins) I hated the character designs and the story.
Really good game, thoroughly enjoyed playing through the story and its side content.
I know that this game isn't what a lot of people were hoping for, and as someone who's not a massive fan of DC I don't fully understand the dislike surrounding this game. But from my viewpoint it was a fun story with interesting characters and gameplay mechanics.
I would definitely recommend to other people.
Wasted potential I wish this game could’ve been so much better but it still stands out to me
Trying to Platinum the game right now, I just need to get three more trophies. In short, the game is good, maybe even great. It definitely does NOT deserve that 5 out of 10 rating. If you liked the other Arkham games including Origins, you will most likely enjoy Gotham Knights. You need to understand the combat's rhythm first and how progression is handled though as I needed to, because at first, it's as slow and uninteresting as it appeared in the original trailers. It does get better though! If you want a combat style more in line with Batman himself from the past games, I'd recommend playing as either Nightwing or Batgirl. One thing I have noticed though is that it seemed like the devs wanted you to experiment and explore each member of the Bat family and try out their different playstyles. I did this intentionally because it's how I wanted to play and I'm glad that I did because it does add variety to the experience. Also it makes the the ending quite special with a cool little nod just FYI ;). However, it seems like the game itself thinks that you're only going to be playing as one character for the entire experience in some instances. Bat cycle challenges for example will appear every new night. It doesn't matter which Knight you choose, you will eventually complete them and get the trophy. However I had to watch one cutscene four times for each character because I was playing as all four throughout my first playthrough. I thought my game was messed up but I'm almost certain now that it was just an important story beat, and that I wouldn't have had to watch it four straight times in a row if I wasn't jumping between characters like I was. This is something that I just sort of noticed as I was playing. I felt like I was doing more work than I needed to as a result of tackling four different characters instead of just maining one. It wasn't a huge deal though. All in all I have enjoyed my experience with Gotham Knights!
people only hate this game because they thought it was made by rocksteady but it’s good
