great
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is another Viking-worthy feast for the senses that meets the high bar set by its predecessor, even if it never really manages to clear it.

Checklists
A one-of-kind, on rails narrative-driven adventure lasting roughly 8-10 hours with some of the best visuals and sound design in any video game period. Headphones are essential.
What the game lacks in substance it more than makes up for with heartfelt gut-wrenching storytelling & character building, with a photorealistic Icelandic backdrop adding drama and flair.
Best Graphics I've ever seen. Great Immersion for the Story. Top Notch All-Round Sound Design (with 3-D Audio).
A soundscape for the ears and a sight for the eyes - Hellblade 2: Senua's Saga is a showcase for Unreal Engine 5 and a huge accomplishment for Ninja Theory.
At the same time it is also a repetitive, restrictive and extremely controlled experience. The amount of work that must have gone into the motion capture and audio design is fully on display here, but Ninja Theory has a very specific vision of what it wants to present here and it can get into the way of giving the player a satisfying role in the experience.
However, I am extremely glad this exists. It is a haunting, soulful experience that clearly takes inspiration, in particular, from the Descent in its best and most memorable chapter where Senua delves into the darkness and comes out of it a changed person.
Microsoft, whatever you do: keep this studio alive.
The visuals, sound and animation and story are superb. It just feels like they could have opened up the sequel more from a game play perspective. The first game afforded the player some freedoms that are missing here.
Nevertheless, the sheer spectacle of the journey makes it worth making.
Senua continued saga, now with less gameplay.
Time to beat =12 hours
Outdated gameplay, boring story, hammy overacting.
7 years after the first game, which I really liked, we are continuing the story. This review of mine focuses on my experiences and comparison.
In my opinion, the level design of the first game was better. Although the views are breathtaking, most locations felt empty. Character models are much better compared to the first game. Combat is better. Fighting feels more cinematic and fun. And the variety of enemies has improved. The game makes you think of separate methods for each enemy. The puzzles in the first game were monotonous, and those in the sequel are better. Compared to the first game; the sequel is much more cinematic, and I really liked it.
For some, this game might be a disappointment; and for some, a joyful experience. The fact that almost 7 years have passed since the first game was released, and having seen the trailers, my expectations were high. I think that the potential was kind of wasted; but it’s a good sequel.
I wish you a joyful game…

Maybe less a game than a unique experience without compromise.
Graphics and sound design are exceptional, combining into a one way immersive and emotional journey.
