amazing
Tunic is an unapologetically challenging action-adventure game that is charming, multi-layered, and immensely rewarding to solve.

One of the best games I've played all the way through. would be a 10 due to how good the game is in addition to the really creative puzzles, however the

quarry area is awful. other that that the only other critiques I have are very minor. some of these are updating the instruction book to English at least partially once you learn certain things and a few of the puzzles were a bit of a stretch. Highly recommend this game, and like others say, this game is by far best when you know nothing going in.

I followed this game's development since before its name changed from "Secret Legend" to "TUNIC", and it didn't disappoint.
I genuinely love this game, it captures this unique experience difficult to describe now days, the hardship of playing a game in a foreign language (which I later learned was intentional).
The art style and the soundtrack are just beautiful.
And, if you happen to have a hard time dealing with the game's challenges, the community is more than willing to help in a way I've never seen before.
Please, in the name of everything that's mundane and holy, make yourself a favor and play this game, you wont regret it.
What starts as the simple and pure joys of exploration as found in the likes of many a Zelda adventure turns into one of the greatest puzzle games ever such as one might find from The Witness or Fez. While the game may too cryptic at times for its own good, the way the world and puzzles hide in plain sight and unfold upon itself is nothing beyond brilliant. And the means of integrating a game manual as a central mechanic is just too cool.

The mechanic of finding pages to the instruction manual is such a fun piece of the game and the level design is amazing for the exploration and secret paths it reveals. However, for me the entire experience is soured by the combat which I could not stand and which I found far too difficult to be enjoyable. Props to the dev for putting in accessibility options that let you get through the game if you're in a similar boat, but even with those on, the game is dragged down by the combat sequences since you do still have to often defeat enemies or bosses to move forward.
